Microsoft CIE Enviroment Connection issue

Microsoft CIE (Customer Immersion Experience) environments can be spun up by Partners (https://www.microsoftcie.com) and they contain O365 with CRM, they are run out of North American i.e. https://enviroment_name.crm.dynamics.com

However when you attempt to connect using:
  • Use CRM Online (TICK)
  • Use Office 365 (TICK)
  • Server Name: crm.dynamics.com
  • Login: admin:enviroment_name.onmicrosoft.com
  • Password: the correct admin password
I just get the following error "An error occurred while retrieving organizations: Metadata contains a reference that cannot be resolved: 'https://disco.crm.dynamics.com:80/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc?wsdl' Inner exception: The operation has timed out"

Works fine when I point it at an IDF environment.

Any help would be great

You are clearly using an old version of XrmToolBox.

Can you go to www.xrmtoolbox.com and download the latest release?

I am using the latest version downloaded today v1.2015.2.21

Yes, but if you read the home page of this codeplex project, you will notice that this project is discontinued on CodePlex and is now on Github with 4 releases since the version on CodePlex.

So, please go to www.xrmtoolbox.com to get the latest release
